What is an Intraocular Lens?

When a cataract is removed it is replaced with an Intraocular Lens Impalnt. The exact power of the Implant is calculated by Dr Troski and his staff at the preoperative consultation.

The decision regarding the power of the Implant is made after measurements using an ultrasound measuring machine as well as an IOL Master, which uses a laser to calculate the length of the eye. Dr Troski uses a special computer program called the Holladay IOL Consultant to personalise each Implant power he selects for each patient.
