Will
I need to wear Glasses Postoperatively?
For most patients undergoing routine cataract surgery there
is usually no need to wear glasses for distance vision.
They will need to buy a pair of reading glasses which can be
prescribed
by their optometrist after surgery.
Some patients can benefit from Multifocal Intraocular Lens Implants, which greatly reduce dependence on spectacles and many of these patients will not need to wear any glasses at all for most tasks. They may still need to have a pair of distance or reading glasses for occasional use.
